Outstanding skincare begins with outstanding ingredients.

"We don't pursue excellent ingredients.

We pursue outstanding ingredients."

Our Standard

Is it excellent? (✗)

Is it outstanding? (✓)

At Monteranc, we release only products that are developed through rigorous in-house research and grounded in scientific theory.

Today, virtually anyone can create a cosmetic brand by selecting a container, choosing a base formula, and deciding on a concept—as if shopping from a catalog. Some products are even launched through private label arrangements, where pre-existing formulas are simply repackaged and marketed under a different name. This approach allows brands to reduce research and development costs, directing their resources instead toward packaging and marketing in order to save time and money.

While many beauty brands operate in this way, we deliberately reject this trend—our approach to product development is fundamentally different. In contrast to other brands, we dedicate extensive time and resources to research and development rather than allocating the majority of our budget to packaging or advertising.

Our goal is not simply to release a product that sells well in the short term, but to develop formulations that are both effective and innovative—products that support long-term skin health and beauty.

"Outstanding ingredients can only be achieved through outstanding processes."

The following outline the product development process of Monteranc Volumefilling.

A. 1000 Hours Ingredient Screening

We search for ingredients that possess the specific efficacy our product aims to deliver, based on scientific literature and research papers, selecting only those that meet our criteria.

B. Securing Safety Data

We review whether each ingredient is suitable for cosmetic use. Ingredients that lack safety data or are restricted to pharmaceutical applications are excluded during this process.

C. 5 Rounds of Ingredient Quality Verification

Committed to using only high-quality ingredients, we employ multiple verification methods:

C1. Non-Destructive Automated Sampling

An automated sampling method that collects samples without damaging the product, preserving quality while preparing precise samples for analysis.

C2. Purity Testing

These technologies measure compound purity, with each analytical technique designed for different compound types. GCMS and LCMS utilize gas and liquid chromatography respectively, while HPLC and UPLC analyze liquid samples under high pressure to separate and quantify components.

C3. Structural Analysis

NMR identifies molecular structures, while dispersive X-ray diffraction analyzes microstructures including crystal formations. These methods are essential for accurately characterizing the molecular and crystal structures of cosmetic ingredients.

C4. Mass Analysis

MALDI TOF rapidly identifies specific molecules in qualitative analysis from large samples, while QTRAP provides quantitative analysis of specific compounds. These technologies measure precise masses to confirm ingredient composition and determine quantities.

C5. Protein Interaction Analysis

Microscale Thermophoresis (MST) and Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) analyze protein-ligand interactions to understand cellular signaling pathways. These methods are crucial for determining how cosmetic ingredients function within cells.

D. 100 Rounds of Ingredient Efficacy Testing

D1. In Silico Experiments

To minimize both animal and cell testing, early-stage research employs computer simulation for molecular predictive modeling, including molecular dynamics, toxicity prediction, and skin permeability assessment.

D2. In Vitro Experiments

Once basic research data is compiled, we conduct cellular-level laboratory tests to verify ingredient efficacy, providing precise evaluation of how ingredients affect skin cells.

E. 500 Rounds of Formulating

Based on laboratory test results, we create initial product formulations by combining ingredients at optimal ratios and concentrations. This formulating process considers not only efficacy but also consumer experience factors such as texture and feel.

F. Safety and Stability Tests

After finalizing product formulas, we conduct safety and stability tests to evaluate long-term effects and product changes under storage conditions. This ensures products cause no adverse skin reactions while maintaining quality over time.

G. 9 Rounds of Upgrades

Since launch, the product has undergone multiple ingredient upgrades. The first packaging change occurred in 2023.

A single product, the culmination of effort equal to a hundred products.

Countless ingredients and formulations are eliminated through this rigorous process, which is why Monteranc has released only a select few products over time. The research team at Monteranc Research Lab takes great pride in our unique and passionate approach to research and development. We embrace creative challenges in discovering and introducing new ingredients, confident that the products born from this process will deliver genuine value to you. Experience firsthand the work of dedication and innovation that defines our work.
